Why We Exist

We are interested in reaching every single young person in Walker County with the message about Jesus Christ.  Secondly, we purpose to impact the parents of students to fulfill their biblical role as life-change agents in their children.  Our end goal is to see Jesus create life change in youth so they can become life-changers to the world.

You can learn much about our ministry when you know what we value.
We value RELATIONSHIPS that lead to SPIRITUAL HEALTH in students/parents:

Right standing with God through Jesus Christ
Encouragement
Laughter and Celebration
Adult leaders who love God first and determine to love kids*
Transparency
Involvement of Students
Outreach is a top priority
Numercal Growth
Spiritual Growth
Home-like atmosphere
Investment in making disciples
Partnership with parents
Servant-Heart

These "RELATIONSHIPS" lead to Spiritual Health.  Spiritual Health is difficult to define, but we use Colossians 1:28-29 as our ministry verse ("We proclaim Him [Jesus], warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.  I labor for this, striving with His strength that works powerfully in me.") While it is often difficult to specifically identify and label specific indicators of spiritual health, we agree a basic understanding of spiritual health includes:

*Consistent personal worship
*Fellowship with other believers (Including corporate worship)
*Outreach to spiritually lost and non-churched people
*Training in Christlikeness and the Lordship of Jesus Christ
*Involvement in Christian ministry (both to believers and non-believers)

We work to obtain these areas of spiritual health through various ways:
1) Weekly Programs (Sunday School, DFG, Elevate Worship Services, Parent Fuel)
2) Special Events (Camps, conferences, seminars, retreats, concerts, etc.)
3) Activities (Fellowships, outings, after-church parties, etc.)
Note: Our programs, events and activities are a part of this website.  Please visit those pages today for updates and information.

We value your prayer support.  We know that all intentions to create life change so they can become life-changers to the world will not endure without prayer of believers.

*If you are interested in learning more about becoming an adult leader in our ministry, please contact the Youth Pastor (Tommy Vowell).  He will be happy to pray with you and talk further with you.  Thank you!
